There is so much to tell about the classic motion pictures, but no words about some of the most popular films of all time, Titanic, The Godfather movies, Ben Hur, Gone with the Wind, on and on. Three floors of wall reading, special exhibits on movie makers no one has ever heard of. Attending the full museum for the first time was a complete DISAPPOINTMENT. We actually attended a preview exhibit on movie costumes two years ago during construction which was well done. Had heard about its development for years and figured this would be fascinating as the one museum in LA/Hollywood to see everything about motion picture history. We were really looking forward to going with our friends to see this museum. of the behind-the-scenes process that happens. This exhibit gave me an even deeper appreciation of the studio's works and there were descriptions/stories/etc. If an exhibit is being shown and you're interested then it's definitely worth going! It definitely was one of my favorite experiences and if they bring the Hayao Miyazaki exhibit back, I recommend going. If it wasn't for the exhibit itself, my friends and I wouldn't have gone since we weren't interested in the subject matter/other things being showcased at the time. We also went to the top floor/terrace and it was a beautiful view! We got to overlook and see a bit of downtown LA and we unfortunately couldn't visit the Griffith tower observatory, but this was perfect for a nice scenery outdoors and with way less walking/climbing. Definitely recommend booking tickets in advance regardless of which exhibit you are there to see. We could take photos outside of the exhibit since there was a cute display/entry wall piece. We couldn't take any photos/videos inside of the exhibit which was a shame since there were a lot of beautiful pieces, but we understood and respected it to maintain the quality of the pieces inside. It was temporary so I'm glad we were able to visit and see it while we could. My friends and I went here for the Hayao Miyazaki Exhibit.
